The Abstract Series

Living in Los Angeles and Seattle Jeff Winslow has used his camera to capture the rhythms, colors and textures of the urban landscape in a series of tightly cropped photographs.

Looking for accidental expressions, both beautiful and emotive in the surfaces of the city.

Many of the things he shot were soon painted over or torn down, some the day after the photograph was taken.

He has taken these fleeting, ephemeral images and rendered them into photos that look like carefully crafted abstract paintings, or some type of industrial collage.
